This yogurt bowl takes under 3️⃣ minutes to make, has over 30 grams of protein and 15 grams of fibre 💩

INGREDIENTS: 
3/4 cup plain natural yogurt
1 scoop protein powder 
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp ground flax seed
1 tsp hemp seeds 
1 tsp raw honey (or pure maple syrup)
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract 
1/2 - 1 cup mixed berries 
Optional: 1 tsp nut butter 

TO MAKE >>> In a small bowl, mix together yogurt, protein powder, seeds, honey and vanilla extract. Top with berries and nut butter if desired.

Layer the following ingredients into a parchment lined baking pan.

Layer 1: flattened dates
Layer 2: nut butter (I prefer peanut butter)
Layer 3: peanuts (roasted + salted)
Layer 4: make my 3-ingredient homemade chocolate 👇

3-INGREDIENT HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE >>> mix together the following ingredients until completely smooth.

▪️2 Tbsp melted coconut oil 
▪️2 Tbsp cocoa powder 
▪️2 tsp pure maple syrup

Place the tray in the fridge or freezer until set. Cut into pieces and enjoy!

Welcome to Episode 3 where I’m sharing functional iced drinks made in mason jars to-go! Healthy alternatives to sugar laden, ultra processed, popular drive thru bevies (like the pink drink from Starbu$ks which has over 20+ grams of sugar).

Glowing skin starts from within (and not with 20+ grams of processed sugar per drink like the popular Pink Drink from Starbucks). 

Collagen >>> the primary building block for our skin, bones 🦴 , muscles 💪 .  With age our body starts producing less collagen (which can lead to decreased mobility and changes in our skin). Some studies have shown that taking collagen supplements may help promote the health of the skin + skeletal system and may help improve symptoms related to osteoarthritis.

Strawberries >>> are rich in VITAMIN C with is necessary for collagen synthesis (it’s also the most abundant #antioxidant in human skin). Consuming vitamin c rich foods like strawberries 🍓 as well as citrus 🍊 fruits, peppers 🌶️ and greens 🥬 , can help support healthy collagen production.

Episode 3: Iced Strawberry Glow 
w/ @hela_nutrition marine collagen 

Ingredients
▪️ 1/4 cup chopped strawberries 
▪️ 1 tsp pure raw honey 
▪️ 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract 
▪️ 1 cup coconut milk (or milk of choice) 
▪️ 1 scoop @hela_nutrition marine collagen 
Optional: 1 tsp beet root powder (adds extra nutrients and a bolder pink colour).

TO MAKE >>>> Add mashed strawberries to a mason jar together with honey, vanilla and mix to combine. Add ice then pour in milk of choice and collagen. Screw on the lid, shake and enjoy!

Skip the fake coloured, ‘natural’ flavoured, artificially sweetened electrolyte water and make this instead.

It’s a common misperception that electrolyte water is superior to plain water 💦 for hydration. In reality, it depends on the circumstances…

Outside of sports, hot 🥵 weather and illness >>>> regular water works just fine to meet your day-to-day hydration needs.

ALSO…it should be noted that SPORTS 🏀 drinks are designed for athletes, not sedentary individuals. Along with electrolytes, they contain calories from added sugar, artificial flavours, and harmful dyes. (591-ml bottle of Gatorade = 30 grams of sugar). 

Here’s a healthier alternative for when 
plain water is just not enough…

Episode 2: Iced Blueberry 🫐 Refresher

coconut water 
blueberries 
lime juice 
sea salt 
maple syrup
ice 

TO MAKE >>> Add the blueberries, lime juice, sea salt, and maple syrup to a mason jar and mash together until the blueberries release their juices. Add ice then pour in coconut water. Screw on the lid, shake and enjoy!

You are on your #weightlossjourney and you’ve been told you need to move more in order to lose weight so you’re thinking of upping your #running routine. Running burns more calories right? Yes! BUT hold up just a minute ✋ 

WEIGHT LOSS isn’t a simple matter of energy in vs. energy out. It ALSO comes down to your #hormones and upping your running or cardio routine can sometimes do more harm 👿 than good. 

Here’s why ⬇️
High intensity training causes an increase in cortisol, running for a long period of time or intense #cardio >>> requires much higher levels of cortisol to sustain that activity. Doing too many cortisol inducing workouts (too frequently) causes high levels of cortisol which can cause your body to store weight around the abdomen 😞 

Walking has been found to lower BMI and waist circumference because it naturally lowers your cortisol levels >>> especially if you’re walking outside 🌳 (research shows that walking outside for just 15 minutes can decrease your #cortisol levels). 

PLUS…walking can be done anywhere, anytime, it’s EASY on the joints and suitable for all fitness levels. It’s a gentle way to burn calories and restore energy (research shows walking can improve mental health and clarity, decrease risk of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease and more!).

Episode 1: Iced Functional Coffee w/ @eversiowellness 3 mushroom 🍄 blend 

This blend helps to support your immune system, energy levels, and brain function. 

It includes 3 functional mushrooms: 

1️⃣ Lion’s Mane for mental clarity, 
2️⃣ Cordyceps for sustained energy, and 
3️⃣ Turkey Tail for immune support.

✔️Green Lettuce
✔️Romaine Lettuce
✔️Baby Kale
✔️Cucumbers 
✔️Strawberries
✔️Wild Salmon 
✔️Spring Onion 
✔️NOLA granola nut clusters @nolabaking >>> the perfect salad topper! Filled with nuts + seeds, it adds the perfect CrUnCh with no refined sugar or weird ingredients!

RECIPE: CREAMY STRAWBERRY 🍓 BALSAMIC DRESSING

INGREDIENTS: 
▪️ 1/2 cup chopped strawberries 
▪️ 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
▪️ 3 Tbsps extra virgin olive oil
▪️ 2 Tbsp tahini 
▪️ 1 clove garlic, minced garlic
▪️ 2 tsp tsp dried oregano 
▪️ 1 tsp sea salt 

TO MAKE >>> add all the ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Add more water as needed to reach your desired consistency. Store in the fridge for up to 7 days!

✅ MEAL PREP TIP: Setting aside some time as part of your weekly meal prep to make homemade dressings, sauces, jams etc. are totally optional but so rewarding!  Skip the store-bought stuff and make a double or triple batch of this recipe and enjoy this dressing all week!
