OATMEAL CHOCOLATE ENERGY BALLS

These no-bake energy balls require only one bowl, minimal ingredients (many of which you likely already have in your pantry) and about 10 minutes of prep time. They are packed with FIBRE, PROTIEN and HEALTHY FATS, all the things you want in a healthy snack PLUS they taste amazing!

MEAL PREP TIP: These energy balls are the perfect recipe to include as part of your weekly meal prep. Make a double batch and store them in the freezer for a quick grab-and-go snack. Packing a lunch? Don’t forget to add a healthy snack. Consider individually wrapping some of these energy balls for a ready-made snack addition.

 


 

OATMEAL CHOCOLATE ENERGY BALLS

Makes about 10 – 12 balls

INGREDIENTS:

  • ¾ cup rolled oats (gluten-free, if needed)
  • 1/3 cup dry pitted dates, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tsp INARI Organic Brown Flax Seeds
  • 3 Tbsp shredded unsweetened coconut
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup natural peanut butter (or nut/seed butter)
  • 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • Pinch sea salt

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1: Place all the dry ingredients (rolled oats, chopped dates, chia seeds, flax seeds, shredded coconut, chocolate chips, sea salt) into a large bowl and stir together to combine.

Step 2: Next to the bowl add the nut butter, maple syrup and water and mix well to combine.

Step 3: Roll into one-inch balls using a small cookie scoop or spoon to scoop and form the dough.

Step 4: Store in an airtight glass container in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
