SNICKERS NICE CREAM BARS

These health-ifed “ice cream” bars taste just like that classic candy bar ONLY these bars are REFINED SUGAR FREE and contain NO ARTIFICIAL INGREDIENTS or PRESERVATIVES. They are DAIRY FREE, GLUTEN FREE and simply delicious. They are made with whole foods you can feel good about eating and feeding to your family.

These SNICKERS NICE CREAM BARS are fun to make and there is the option for finger licking at every step which makes this the perfect activity to do together with the KIDS.  

SO LET’S GET STARTED…

STEP 1: Peel and cut your bananas in half and then cut the banana half’s lengthwise. You will end up with four banana pieces for each banana. Spread out the banana pieces on a parchment lined baking sheet.

This is your healthy “ice cream” base aka NICE CREAM. Ripe bananas work best and add a natural sweetness and creamy texture.

STEP 1 Peel and cut your bananas in half and then cut the bananas in half lengthwise.

STEP 2: Spread each banana piece with natural peanut butter (or use any nut or seed butter of choice).

BE GENEROUS WITH THIS LAYER OF NUT BUTTER…you’ll thank me later!

STEP 2: Spread each banana piece with natural peanut butter.

STEP 3: Top each banana piece with roasted peanuts (or use any nuts or seeds of choice). The peanut butter will act as the glue and they should stay nicely.

This makes a great snack on its own. BUT LET’S KEEP GOING…

Step 3: Top each banana piece with roasted peanuts.

STEP 4: Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 2-3 hrs or overnight until the banana pieces are completely frozen. This allows for easy dipping into the melted chocolate.

You don’t want to rush this step otherwise you will end up with a mess trying to dip them into the chocolate. You want the entire banana piece along with the peanut butter and peanut topping to be one solid piece.  

Step 4: Place the baking sheet in the freezer for a few hours or overnight.

STEP 5: Dip the frozen banana pieces into melted chocolate or my homemade chocolate recipe made with just 3 ingredients you likely already have in your pantry. CLICK here for the recipe.

DOUBLE DIPPING? It’s accepted with this recipe. Once all of the banana pieces have been dipped into the chocolate start the process again to give these nice cream bars a solid coating of the chocolate. Since the banana pieces are already frozen the chocolate will firm up quick which makes double dipping easy.

Step 5: Dip the frozen banana pieces into melted chocolate or my homemade chocolate.

Store these SNICKERS NICE CREAM BARS in the freezer in an air tight container. They will keep for up to 3 months but I’d be surprised if they are around longer than a few days!
